Blk + Healthy Hosted Events

What are Blk + Healthy events?

Blk + Healthy events are curated experiences designed to support holistic wellness in the Black community. Each event focuses on one or more of the 8 dimensions of wellness; physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, financial, environmental, occupational, and social, through engaging activities, education, and community connection.

Who can attend?

Our events are open to everyone, though many are designed to specifically serve the Black community. Please check each event description for any age or audience restrictions (e.g., women-only, men-only, youth events).

Are events free?

Some Blk + Healthy events are free to the public, while others may require a ticket purchase or donation. Event costs will be clearly listed in the event details.

Can I bring my children?

Our main Blk + Health Events (Spring & Fall ) are family-friendly events. We will recommend and specify leaving little ones at home if an event is not family-friendly so you can fully enjoy the experience.

Do you allow walk-ins?

Some events allow walk-ins if space permits, but we strongly encourage advance registration to secure your spot. Walk-ins are not guaranteed and may be charged at a higher rate.

Do I need to register or RSVP?

Yes, most events require pre-registration. This helps us prepare accurately for attendees and create a quality experience. Check the event page for the registration link and deadlines.

How do you select event activities and partners?

We prioritize vendors, instructors, and partners who align with our mission of supporting Black wellness and who bring value to attendees. Many partners are previous Blk + Healthy vendors, featured members of our Business Directory or Community Calendar subscribers.

Can I be a vendor or sponsor at an event?

Potentially!

  • Vendors: You must submit a vendor application during the designated open application window for each event. Vendor spots are limited and reviewed for alignment with the event’s mission. Applications submitted outside the open window will not be considered.

What’s your refund or cancellation policy?

  • Attendees: Tickets are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in the event details. If you can’t attend, you may transfer your ticket to someone else.

  • Vendors/Sponsors: Vendor fees are non-refundable once paid, as we invest in marketing and event logistics in advance. Refunds will only be issued if you cancel by the vendor cancellation deadline listed for that specific event.

What happens if the event is canceled or rescheduled?

If we have to cancel or reschedule an event, we’ll notify all registered attendees and vendors by email and social media. You’ll receive instructions about ticket transfers, credits, or refunds (if applicable).

Can I volunteer at a Blk + Healthy event?

Yes! We welcome volunteers who want to support our mission. Please fill out the Volunteer Interest Form [www.blknhealthy.com/volunteer] to be notified of upcoming opportunities.
